GIOglobal is Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra’s world-wide telematic orchestra project. Developed during the COVID-19 lockdowns, it has grown into weekly improvisation workshops and performances held online, attended by musicians, artists and composers from over 24 countries around the world.
These sessions offer a radical and essential space in which to play and listen to new music, while reducing isolation, inspiring confidence and creating opportunities to grow with others on a musical and personal level, regardless of background or experience.
