With a career in performing and composing now exceeding quarter of a century, Australian pianist Alister Spence lectures in music at the University of NSW when he isn’t recording or touring. His Alister Spence Trio includes The Necks’ Lloyd Swanton on bass and he’s also played and recorded previously with fellow GIOFest XIII guests Raymond MacDonald, Shoeb Ahmad and Jim O’Rourke.
