Upcoming performance with Orphy Robinson at Glasgow Jazz Festival

Drawing on Orphy’s extensive experience of collaborating and improvising in a dazzling array of situations (particularly with Pat Thomas in Black Top), this performance will include a new piece exploring the possibilities of large ensemble improvising and composition. The emphasis will be on “cocreation” with Orphy leading a rehearsal/workshop in the morning where a new piece will emerge from the collaborations taking place. This is a unique opportunity to hear Orphy, one of the UK’s leading jazz voices, in a small intimate environment with a large ensemble dedicated to exploring all the avenues available for improvisation.
